School Aims

The aims of the school are:

  • To provide a safe, secure, stimulating, happy and calm learning environment
  • To ensure that every child realises her / his potential by setting high expectations for learning
  • To ensure that all children understand the expectations of socially acceptable behaviour in line with the school rules
  • To support the development of creative and enquiring minds

  • To enable the child to acquire the knowledge and skills relevant to adult life in a rapidly changing world with specific reference to becoming literate and numerate
  • To create an atmosphere of trust and care in which others’ needs and feelings are respected
  • To ensure children have knowledge of and respect for all cultures, religions and moral values
  • To promote equality of opportunity ensuring that all members of the school community have self respect and show respect and appreciation for each other as individuals
  • To help the children understand the world in which they live and to value the environment
  • To encourage positive and healthy lifestyle choices where children can thrive and develop high self esteem
